Blackmagic Design SmartView 4K G3 is a professional 15.6″ TFT LCD monitor featuring built-in optical and copper SMPTE-2110 IP video connections for direct integration into IP-based broadcast systems. It offers a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 and includes two multi-rate 12G-SDI inputs supporting SD, HD, and 4K formats up to DCI 4K60. The monitor features a lightweight machined aluminum chassis, UHD display, on-screen overlays such as focus peaking and framing guides, and built-in 3D LUT support for creative and HDR workflows.

Versatile Monitoring Solution

Supports both 12G-SDI and SMPTE 2110 IP video up to UHD 4K60 for broadcast environments. Includes advanced monitoring tools such as focus peaking, zoom, aspect ratio markers, and tally. The durable 6RU aluminum design makes it suitable for fly packs and on-location production.

3D LUT Monitoring

Includes support for 3D LUTs to correct log or HDR signals and apply creative looks. LUTs can be uploaded via the SmartView utility or exported from DaVinci Resolve, enabling flexible color workflows at no additional cost.

Multiple Resolution Support

Multi-rate 12G-SDI and 10G Ethernet inputs support SD, HD, 2K, and UHD formats. Designed for current and future broadcast standards, with support for upgrades via software updates.

Front Panel Controls and Frame Markers

Provides front panel buttons for selecting inputs (12G-SDI or 2110 IP) and controlling brightness, display orientation, blue-only mode, zoom, focus peaking, LUT selection, and up to four customizable on-screen markers.

NMOS Protocol for Virtual Routing

Supports NMOS IS-04 and IS-05 standards, allowing SMPTE 2110 devices to function as a virtual router. Enables seamless discovery, registration, and connection management across IP video networks.

Remote Control Software

Compatible with macOS and Windows SmartView utility software for configuration and updates. Allows renaming devices, selecting SDI formats, and enabling Ethernet control via USB connection.

SMPTE 2110 IP Network Integration

Fully compliant with SMPTE-2110 standards, supporting uncompressed video, audio, and ancillary data over IP. Includes support for SMPTE-2110-20, -21, -30, and -40, as well as multicast output over 10G Ethernet.

Tally Border Support

Supports Blackmagic SDI Tally Protocol with illuminated borders indicating on-air (red) or preview (green) status. Integrates directly with ATEM switchers via SDI.
