With OBS or similar software on a computer plus a regular camera and capture device, you get maximum flexibility (graphics, switching, multiple cameras, scenes, automation) at the cost of complexity (multiple devices, software updates, troubleshooting, possible failure points). A streaming camera trades some flexibility for simplicity: one device handles everything, fewer things to go wrong, simpler troubleshooting. For one-camera workflows where you don't need overlays and switching, a streaming camera is often a better choice. For complex productions, OBS plus regular cameras gives more capability.
