The lens is resistant to rain, sand, and dust thanks to the internal seals on strategic places. Take it with you on your next adventure in the desert or the jungle, if your camera can handle those environments.
Engraved markings on the lens have been filled with UV Light-reactive paint, which makes filming in difficult lighting conditions much easier. All you’ll need is a small UV Blacklight instead of a bright flashlight.

All Irix Cine lenses (except the 11mm and 21mm) have a Magnetic Mount System (MMS) that is compatible with our Irix Edge MMS filters and Irix MMS Lens Hoods. The Irix Edge magnetic filters have a unique thread-less and stackable design.
All of the Irix Edge MMS filters are made of hardened optical glass (SR) making them extremely robust. The filters’ surfaces are covered with the multi-layer, anti-reflective coating with a special type nano-coating that makes it easy to clean.
Available types of Irix Edge MMS filters: UV, CPL, ND4, ND8, ND16, ND32 and ND64.
